Partnership with AICC …Priceless

Partnership with AICC …Priceless

Establishing partnerships in packaging is much more than a company tagline. Royal Containers continuously improve our relationships by being a part of industry associations and organizations.

It is with great pleasure and pride that we are a long-standing and active participant in the AICC – both Internationally and in Canada. AICC is a membership association that has been serving independent corrugated packaging manufacturers and their suppliers since 1974. Royal Containers has seen many benefits over the past 38 years of membership with the AICC. To name a few:

  • Valuable customer leads and new business resulting in additional revenue in the millions
  • Advanced education and training for our entire management team
  • Relevant and impactful advice from respected leaders in our industry
  • Participation in annual networking events, meetings and advisory groups

Royal Containers has a long history with both chapters of the AICC. Our founder, Ross Nelson, was the President of AICC Canada, and an early recipient of the AICC Canada Hall of Fame Award. The partnership continues with his daughter, Kim Nelson, Royal Containers current President and CEO. Kim is the Chairman of AICC International, and in 2018, she was inducted into the AICC International Hall of Fame. On December 6th, Kim Nelson will be receiving another honour as she will be inducted into the AICC Canada Hall of Fame. Kim and her father Ross are the first and only “Father/Daughter” duo to have received this honour in AICC Canada history. The award recognizes those who have made a significant contribution to the independent sector of the corrugated packaging industry through active membership in AICC and broad-based involvement in the field.

We are proud to partner with both associations. Our very own Terri-Lynn Levesque is deeply entrenched in the organization and is the International Director on behalf of AICC Canada.

“The current mission of AICC is “when you invest & engage, AICC will deliver success.”  Royal Containers, like many other AICC members, are living proof that this statement is 100% true.  In my experience, your level of engagement in the association determines what you get out of it.

No other association can offer all the many benefits that come with being an AICC member. Making all new members feel engaged and welcome is very important to AICC and the entire staff.  In my current role as International Director for AICC Canada & as an AICC ambassador, I want everyone to feel the sense of belonging that comes with being a part of this community.

In September 2015, I was enrolled by Kim Nelson in the AICC emerging leaders’ program. This was the start of industry & leadership training which I would never have received in a classroom setting.  AICC has helped me develop both personally and professionally since that very first meeting, I now consider them my corrugated family.

We are all so proud of Kim, and for her to be honoured in this way by AICC Canada is a testament to her many years of service & dedication.  She is my personal role model & the best mentor I’ve ever had the privilege to call my friend.

– Terri-Lynn Levesque, International Director for AICC Canada & AICC ambassador

In the end, we have formed lifelong friendships, gained valuable industry knowledge and meaningful connections through our partnerships.

Based on our own experience and company growth, it is evident that the resources provided by AICC are priceless to its’ members. Don’t take our word for it, we encourage you all to join us as partners in packaging and longstanding members of the AICC.
