Royal in the Community

There is a current of good running through Royal Containers. It’s an ethic that strives to see some good in every part of our communities – from youngsters getting instruction on a baseball diamond to folks receiving care in a hospice. This year we are focused on the amazing work happening at Harvest Hands.

ROYAL’S CHARITY OF CHOICE 2022-2023

Harvest Hands

By repurposing food donations from farmers, bakeries, grocery stores, retailers, manufacturers, and other contributors, Harvest Hands rescues food that would otherwise end up in landfills. From there, Harvest Hands distributes the items to those experiencing food insecurity through a network of food banks across southern Ontario.

Here are some of the latest and greatest ways that Harvest Hands has given Royal Containers opportunities to be generous:

  • May 2022 – In-kind donation of 500 12 x 12 x 12 cartons
  • July 2022 – Cash donation of $600 resulting from Royal East Picnic Fundraiser
  • August 2022 – Cash donation of $450 resulting from Royal West Picnic Fundraiser
  • September 2022 – Refrigerated truck donated in partnership with RW community sponsors
  • July 2023– Donated $3,500 from the Summer picnic fundraiser, and raised $2,551.30 from our weekly 50/50 raffle draw

Our staff has more plans to give to this incredible local organization.  We expect to help with many things from personal contributions of time sorting and packaging food to company food drives. Please consider a gift of time or money to Harvest Hands.

ROYAL CONTAINERS & CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Teamwork and competition are two sides of the same coin. Boys hockey, girls hockey and a triathlon club are just some of the ways that Royal supports teams that foster healthy competition.
