Every Day Is #GivingTuesday

Every Day is #GivingTuesday

Royal Containers Ltd., is proud of our reputation as a caring corporate citizen. Part of it is because we believe that our success depends on the well-being of the families we employ and the communities we support through sponsorship & philanthropy, but we also are proud to support their development and sustainability.

So, it’s only fitting that on #GivingTuesday we reflect on the role we have played in supporting the many registered charities and their various causes throughout the year, and the role we’ve played in helping to improve the lives of the individuals and our ‘Royal’ families in the communities where we live, work and do business.

Throughout our giving history, as part of that commitment we have supported a number of high-performance athletes through sponsorship and by providing employment that fits with their intensive training schedules over the years. Not every athlete reaches that level of course, but we can’t help feeling a little extra satisfaction at having played a role when one does. Athletes like Taylor Reid, Kristen Marchant and Andrew Yorke who have competed at elite levels in their respective sports.

At Royal Containers we promote health and fitness for all our employees and their families. How we achieve both is by giving back to our “Royal family” by sponsoring their teams. This type of charitable giving is personal for us and helps create the winning culture we have. Here are some of the teams we are proud to sponsor:

“Royal has always supported various sports teams & athletes over the years.  It’s at the core of their company values to show “We Care” by giving back to the community. Royal understands the importance of life lessons such as determination, teamwork, perseverance & goal setting that each child develops from being a part of any team (sports or otherwise). I have seen a new passion awaken in Kylie since she joined hockey this year and that is all due to the support Royal has shown her Brampton Canadettes hockey team.”

We also selectively choose charities that represent our corporate values and strengthen our reputation among our employees, advisors and the communities we serve. From our participation and support of local charity events like the Steve Duplantis Golf Charity Event and Hockey Helps the Homeless to our financial support of the Trillium Health Partners Foundation, Autism Speaks Canada, Sick Kids Foundation and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.

And each year, our employees and advisors volunteer their hours or make personal financial contributions to their favourite charitable organizations, advancing our vision of building sustainable, healthier communities for life.

For Royal, giving back is not an obligation – it’s an opportunity to be part of something that’s big and meaningful and feels great. So, as we take a deep breath and get ready for the sprint to the end of 2018, it gives us an enormous sense of pride to recognize and celebrate the role we have played and the many dreams we have helped come true throughout the year through our programs. For us, every day is #GivingTuesday!
