Tencorr, Leading the Way with our Partnerships in Sustainability Series

Our series about Leading the Way with our Partnerships in Sustainability continues with the next company in our vertical integration model, Tencorr Packaging.

Tencorr is a top-of-the-line supplier of quality sheet stock and Canada’s largest independent corrugating company. Founded in 1983, Tencorr is the result of ten independent corrugated converters teaming together to form the first sheet feeder operation in Canada. Today, Tencorr operates out of locations in both Brampton and Mississauga. Royal Containers proudly continues as one of three Tencorr owners.

By gaining ownership of this important step in the corrugated manufacturing process, we set ourselves up to be better equipped to serve our customers. It allows us the flexibility to offset costs and manage quality, sustainability, and responsiveness.

Through strategic partnerships with both its customers and suppliers, Tencorr Packaging continues to grow its operation and supply quality corrugated sheet stock. With Tencorr’s footprint and equipment, they have the capacity to produce over 2 billion square feet of sheets annually.

How does Tencorr approach sustainability?

Tencorr purchased the majority of its containerboard; 100% recycled paper from Greenpac. They also purchase the majority of their whitetop containerboard from a 100% recycled paper mill.

Tencorr’s commitment to sustainability has always been a priority. They seek leadership in sustainable practices and strive for innovation and continuous improvement. For Royal Containers, this ethic means corrugated sheet stock that exceeds our customers’ expectations, produced within a ‘green environment.’ All of Tencorr’s products are 100% recyclable to the end-user.
